About Us

G.A.A.L. (Gorgeous Afro American Ladies) Book Club of Atlanta is a group of positive and eloquent sisters who possess a genuine passion in reading stimulating novels and having a good time.  Our discussion are always interesting as we meet monthly at members’ homes to talk about our inspiring reading selections.

This is our vision of the book club:

To provide a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere, outside of the home and workplace.  To explore many bold, adventurous, and spontaneous interests as a whole.

Our Mission

Utilize this book club for self, as a stress reliever and a motivational tool

Our Objective

To make this a positive book club that will prosper beyond our imaginations.  It is our pledge to be a committed and dependable member, to participate in the fundraisers and community volunteer events.  To read and attend monthly meetings and be prepared for open discussions and host a meeting as well.

Our Pledge

I am proud of who I am...of who we are. We will write our own history, set our own standards, define our own worth. We will treasure the rich diversity of our people. And, we will celebrate the  uniqueness of our culture.

Executive Board

We look forward to working with all local and mainstream authors as much as possible to promote their novels.
